Who is responsible

Abundance Bay, a sole proprietorship based in California, United States, operates CiteBliss. Privacy questions: support@citebliss.com.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and sign-in details.
• Workspace data: your workspace and plan.
• Tracking data: the domains, keywords and prompts you ask us to track.
• Check results: what AI search providers returned for those checks, including which domains were cited.
• Billing data: payments are handled by Stripe once billing exists, and we do not store card numbers. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription references, your plan and your subscription status.
• Anonymous page-view statistics on the website (see below).
• Technical error reports, with user details, cookies, headers and request bodies switched off.

Why we use it

• To run the service: authenticate you, run checks and show results.
• To send emails you need, such as sign-in messages, alerts and a weekly digest.
• To take payments and manage subscriptions.
• To keep the service secure and fix errors.
• To understand site traffic in aggregate.
• If you are in the EU or UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (running your account, checks, alerts and billing); our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure, fixing errors, and measuring site traffic in aggregate); and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).

Website analytics and cookies

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies. Visitors are identified only by a hash of the request, which is discarded after 24 hours, and it collects no personal identifiers.

When you sign in, we set cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Service providers we share data with

We share data with these providers only to run the service. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

• Vercel: website hosting and cookieless Web Analytics.
• Supabase: database and authentication.
• Stripe: payments (once billing is available).
• Resend: sending email.
• Sentry: error reporting.
• DataForSEO, OpenAI and Perplexity: to run checks we send them the keywords or prompts and domains you track, not your name or email. A keyword or prompt you write could itself contain personal data, so please don't enter any.

Retention

We keep your account, tracked targets and check history for as long as your account is active, so that you can see how your visibility changes over time. When you delete your account we delete your workspace data within 30 days; copies in backups are overwritten on the normal backup cycle. Billing and tax records are kept for as long as the law requires. Error reports and email delivery logs are kept by Sentry and Resend under their own retention periods.

International transfers

Our database and servers, and most of our providers, are in the United States. If you use CiteBliss from the EU, UK or elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed in the United States. Where the law requires a transfer mechanism, we rely on the standard contractual clauses or equivalent terms offered by our providers.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to give you a copy of it, by writing to support@citebliss.com. We will answer within 30 days.

If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object to or restrict our processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know what personal data we hold, to have it deleted or corrected, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal data for advertising.

Children

CiteBliss is for people who are at least 18 years old and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18; if you think we have, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date at the top of this page when the policy changes. If a change is material, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect.
